*ELISHA SAT IN HIS HOUSE*

SCRIPTURE: Elisha sat in his house, and the elders sat with him; and the King sent a Man from before him: but ere the Messenger came to him, he said to the elders, See ye how this son of a murderer hath sent to take away mine head? look, when the Messenger cometh, shut the door, and hold him fast at the door: is not the sound of his Master's feet behind him? - *2 Kings 6:32*


The Bible says woe to  them that are at ease in Zion - *Amos 6:1*


The Syrians had besieged Samaria, great famine was in the Land, Pain, suffering and untimely death were Prevalent in the City. 


In the Anchor Text above, the Prophet in the Land, Elisha sat in his house. The Man with the Mandate to bring out his City from untold hardship sat in his house while the cyity was burning. The Bible says by a Prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt  and by a Prophet he was Preserved - *Hosea 12:13*


The pyrophet who ought to rise to the occasion sat in his house, therefore the King threatened to take off his head. Elisha arose and spoke to the horrible situation of Samaria. 


He said, Hear the Word of the Lord, thus saith the Lord, tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel

and two measures of barley for a shekel,  in the gate of Samaria - *2 Kings 7:1*


With the Prophetic Pronouncement, the great famine of Samaria ended.


*You are not existing for yourself, you are raised for your Generation.*


*Therefore, sitting in your house while Moral Decadence, corruption, murder and ungodliness are on the increase is to neglect the reason for  your existence and attract the sword of the King.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please awake me from my slumber and help me to impact my Generation for Good.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father.
