*UNDERSTANDING THE MIDIANITES AT WORK*

SCRIPTURE: they encamped against them, and destroyed the Increase of the Earth, till thou come unto Gaza, and left no s/Sustenance for Israel, neither sheep, nor Ox, nor Ass - *Judges 6:4*


All the Nations that attacked the Nation of Israel during the Bible times had different modes of Operation. 


*We want to take a look at the Method adopted by the Midianites to deal with the children of Israel.*


In our Anchor Text above, the Midianites were after the increase of the Earth, which the Lord gave to the children of Israel to destroy them and left no Sustenance for them.


*Today, we see the Spirit of the Midianites at work in the lives of the children of God manifesting in the following ways:*


*(1)* Scattering what the Lord had gathered for us - *1 Corinthians 3:6*


*(2)* Full of activities but lack Productivity. 


Peter said we have toiled all the Night and caught nothing - *Luke 5:5, Haggai 1:6*


*(3)* The Spirit of the Midianites, makes Poor.


The Bible says the children of Israel were greatly impoverished because of the Midianites - *Judges 6:6*


Poverty is not our Heritage in Christ Jesus - *3 John 1: 2, Psalms 1:1-3*


*(4)* It destroys Testimonies.


Destroying their harvest is destroying their Testimonies - *1 Samuel 17:34*

 

*(5)* Unable to enjoy the Good  of one's Labour - *Ecclesiastes 2:24, Ecclesiastes 3:13*


*(6)* It weakens the Strength of the children of Israel - *Psalms 102:22-23*

 

*(7)* It makes Hopeless and Faithless - *Hebrews 11:1*


*(8)* It destroys Relationship with God because without Faith it is impossible to Please God - *Hebrews 11:6*


*(9)* Destroying one's Purpose - *Jeremiah 1:5*


*(10)* It makes one to end a failure. 


*The Spirit of the Midianites is making many great Destinies end in Great Disaster.*


*Prayer:* 

Father, Please Permanently Silence the Spirit of the Midianites in my Life and family and let not our Great Destinies end in Great Disaster.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father.
