*TESTING BEFORE TRUSTING*

SCRIPTURE: he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me - *Genesis 22:12*


*No one is trusted who has not been tested.*


The Lord called Abraham to offer his only son Isaac whom he loved, as a burnt Offering unto him. 


Abraham did not hesitate to obey the Voice of God. He bound Isaac on the Altar, and was about to slay him, when the Angel of Lord called him, and told him not to lay hand on the lad.


God said to Abraham, 'now I know you fear the Lord.' 


Abraham was tested and thereafter trusted by God. He said concerning him, for I know him - *Genesis 18:19*


*Therefore if you are not trusted, it follows that you are either have not been tested, or you failed the test.*


God tested whether or not Abraham feared the Lord. 


*There are other Qualities God checks out for whenever he puts a Man to test, such as the motive behind what we do or say.* 


He said concerning Amaziah, that did what was right in the sight of God, but not with a Perfect Heart - *2 Chronicles 25:1-2*


Similarly ,when Mary anointed the feet of Jesus Christ with a costly Ointment; Judas Iscariot said why this waste .The Oil should have been sold and the money given to the Poor .The Bible said his suggestion was not because he cared for the Poor but because he was a thief .His motive already tested - *John 12:4-6*


*When the Lord has tested and trusted a Man, He will be Proud of him, as he was in the case of Job.*


God Himself testified of Job, that there was none like him in the Earth - *Job 1:8*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please when I am tested by You, let me not be found wanting.
