*TEENS AND ROLE MODELS. 4 AND TAKE NEW TERRITORIES.*

There are various types of role models, and young people should be aware of them since they play various roles in their lives and help them make sound decisions.

A positive role model is someone whose accomplishments, behavior, and value system you want to emulate. They share your values, and you want to replicate their models.

A reverse role model is someone whose success and inspiration you admire, but you do not agree with their value system. This one teaches you a lesson, and you shun their way of life. This one checks all the boxes, but their value system is nothing to write home about.

If you look attentively, you will notice that emulating their behavior is not in your best interests. As an example, consider a classmate who is incredibly clever but smokes.

Then there are the anti-role models: people who, although on the same career path as you, were unable to achieve the same goals you desired to achieve. Studying them allows you to construct guardrails to prevent a similar fate.

The basic conclusion is that you, as a parent, have a critical role in this situation. It is your responsibility to teach your children about each category, why they are essential, and what to look out for.

Nature abhors vacuums, so if you don't teach them, someone else will. My main concern is what they will be taught.

*TAKE NEW TERRITORIES.*

When Joshua, the son of Nun, got old, God told him, "Even though you are growing old, there is still more territory to conquer."

Joshua won numerous wars and divided the country among the Israelites. In our day, we would say he had reached the peak of his profession, but God told him there were still more areas to conquer.

Do you know that better is the enemy of best? When people feel at ease, they frequently rest on their oasis. They are blessed, but God wants to make them a blessing.

Your life is too small to be the reason for your existence. God created you not just to be comfortable but also to make others comfortable.

When you reach that point where you feel so at ease, your next thought should be to add value to others; this is when you become a blessing. Therefore, new lands must be conquered.

When you stop adding value, you begin to depreciate. Being blessed isn't enough; becoming a blessing is preferable because you'll be helping to make the world a better place for people to live.

God shouldn't have you here and still be concerned that some widows need food, that someone needs to acquire capacity, that someone else needs to go to school, that there are still housing issues unresolved, and so on. You and he are co-creators. Rise up and take more territory.
