THE KING'S COMMANDMENT IS URGENT*

SCRIPTURE: Therefore because the King's Commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego - *Daniel 3:22*


*There are four Major ways a man can respond to an instruction from the Lord:*


*(1)* One can be indifferent to the information from the Lord.


When Samuel told Eli the great judgement of God was coming upon his family, Eli was indifferent. He said the Lord should do what seems Good - *1 Samuel 3:18*


*(2)* One can outrightly go against whatever He says.


The Young Prophet was sent from Judah to Bethel, to cry against the violation of the Altar of God. He was told by the Lord to neither eat nor drink after accomplishing the Assignment. But, he ate and drank - *1 King 13*


*(3)* One can delay in obeying the information from the Lord.


The children of Israel refused to harken to the Voice of the Lord, to go up into the Promised Land because of the evil report they received. 


Caleb and Joshua encouraged them, but they refused. The anger of God was kindled against them and He said, what they had said in His ear, He will do - *Numbers 14:28*


Therefore, the children of Israel came to announce their readiness to go up to the Promised Land. But, Moses told them it is late that the Lord will not go with them - *Numbers 14:40*


*(4)* One can respond Promptly to the instruction from the Lord.


The Word of the Lord came to Elijah to arise and go to Zarephath and he arose - This was a Prompt Response - *1 King 17:8-10*


*Whatever becomes of our lives will largely depend on how we respond to the Instructions from the Lord.* 


*A man of Destiny will respond Promptly to every Words from the Lord.*


Our Anchor Bible Text says - The King's Commandment was urgent. 


*We must respond Promptly because to everything there is a Season and a time to every Purpose under the Heaven* - *Ecclesiastes 3:1*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to attend to Your Commandment Promptly.
