*AN EVIL SPIRIT FROM THE LORD*

SCRIPTURE: But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul, and a distressing Spirit from the Lord troubled him - *1 Samuel 16:14*


A Superficial look at this Scripture will give the erroneous idea that Good and Evil come from the Lord. 


Job erroneously said shall we receive Good at the hand of God and shall we not receive Evil? - *Job 2:10*


There is no Shadow of turning with God; every Good and Perfect Gift is from Him - *James 1:17*


*Evil Proceeds not from God.*


*What then is the meaning of an Evil Spirit from the Lord?*


Our God is the Lord of Hosts. He commands the Good and Evil Spirits. None of these Spirits operate without His Permission.


Satan never touched Job until God Permitted him and the extent to which he could go was defined by God - *Job 1:10-12*


*Therefore, when the Bible says an Evil Spirit from the Lord troubled him, it means as the Commander of Forces of Heaven and Hell, God gave Permission to an Evil Spirit from the devil to trouble him.*


*This Permission is given by God whenever a man is consistently in sin without Repentance.* 


God anointed Saul as a king and He put His Spirit upon him. With the Spirit of God upon him, he consistently rebelled without Repentance. He was a king, but he sinfully turned himself into a Priest without Repentance - *1 Samuel 13:8-14*


He disobeyed God by sparing those he was commanded to kill - *1 Samuel 15*


He treated the Commandment of God with levity and he did not repent despite warnings. 


He also tore the Garment of Samuel, the Prophet.


*The Bible says, He that is often rebuked and hardened his heart shall be destroyed without remedy* - *Proverbs 29:1*


*Since Saul kept sinning without repentance, God gave Permission to an Evil Spirit from the devil for his destruction without remedy.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please don't give Permission to Evil Spirits to trouble me. I don't want to be destroyed without remedy.
