*MAINTAINING A GOOD CONSCIENCE*

SCRIPTURE: I tell the Truth in Christ, I am not lying, my conscience also bearing me Witness in the Holy Spirit - *Romans 9:1*


*A Good Conscience is important in our Christian walk.* 


A Good Conscience is a Pillar upon which true Faith Stands - *1 Timothy 1:5*


*Conscience is the faculty of the heart that approves Righteousness and disapproves sin. It is the Inner Voice that tells us whether what you want to do is right or wrong.*


When Judas Iscariot betrayed our Lord Jesus by collecting thirty Pieces of Silver, he returned the thirty Pieces of Silver to the High Priest because his Conscience had told him what he did was wrong - *Matthew 27:3*


Apostle Paul said, I have lived in all Good Conscience before God until this day - *Acts 23:1*


He explained further that his Conscience is void of offence towards God and towards men - *Acts 24:16*


*How do we maintain a Good Conscience?*


*(1)* Being Obedient and not suppressing our Conscience.


Paul said my Conscience bear me Witness - *Romans 9:1*


*(2)* Walking In Love - *1 Timothy 1:5*


*(3)* Regular Cleansing of our heart with the Word - *Ephesians 5:26*


*(4)* Walking the Word.


Paul said in our Anchor Text, 'I lie not.'


*(5)* Regular Prayer especially in the Holy Ghost - *Romans 9:1*


*Benefits of A Good Conscience*


*(1)* Confidence towards God - *1 John 3:21*


*(2)* Conviction of any wrong doing - *John 8:9*


*(3)* True Faith - *1 Timothy 1:5*


*(4)* Walking In the realm of the Miraculous. 


*(5)* Becoming a God-Pleaser.


*From the above, Good Conscience is highly desirable and Profitable in our walk with God.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to have a Conscience void of offence towards You and towards men.
