*SUSTAINING YOUR IMPACT*

SCRIPTURE: Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a Weapon - *Nehemiah 4:17*


*We are created to Positively impact our Generation.* 


The Bible says, ye are the Light of the world, a City set that is set on a Hill cannot be hid - *Matthew 5:14*


Light gives direction and makes great impact on humans and the environment. 


For example, Photosynthesis is Possible in Plants only if there is Light.


As Light Bearers, we are made to impact the lives of People and our environments. 


*It is noteworthy that we will face great resistance in our drive to make impact. Life is a warfare and not funfare.* 


*Therefore, to sustain our impact we must engage in a warfare.* 


In our Anchor Text, the children of Israel did something highly instructive in their drive to rebuild the broken wall of Jerusaleum under Nehemiah's Leadership - They built with one hand and held their weapons with the other. 


*They were surrounded by enemies who did not want the rebuilding of the wall. Therefore, they carried Weapons to ward off all unwanted enemies, so they could sustain the work they were doing.*


*They understood that without putting up a resistance, they would build in vain; the enemy would pull down the wall without resistance.*


The Ministry of the enemy is to steal, to kill and to destroy - *John 10:10*


*Therefore, the following Weapons must be held for sustainable impact:*


*(1)* Love - *John 3:16*


*(2)* Righteousness - *John 14:30*


*(3)* Fear of God - *Proverbs 8:13*


*(4)* Prayer - *Matthew 7:7-8*


*(5)* Wisdom - *Proverbs 4:7, Proverbs 24:3*


*Working with one hand and holding a Weapon with the other hand is the Secret of  Sustainable Impact.*


*Prayer:*

Heavenly Father, Please I don't want my work destroyed before my eyes. Please, empower me to resist the enemy as I build.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
