*TAKE NOT YOUR HOLY SPIRIT FROM ME*

SCRIPTURE: Cast me not away from thy Presence; And take not thy Holy Spirit from me - *Psalms 51:11*


This Psalm was penned by David when he sinned against God. 


He Passionately cried to God for Mercy and for God not to cast him away, by taking His Holy Spirit from him.


*When the Spirit of God is taken away from a man, his thought and ways will be evil continually.* 


Hence, we need to abstain from every deed that can cause God to take His Spirit from us. 


*Some of them are:*


*(1)* Disobedience - *Judges 16:20*


*(2)* Unforgiveness - *Matthew 18:34*


*(3)* Persitent Anger - *2 Kings 3:14-15*


*(4)* Idolatry - *1 Corinthians 10:14*


*(5)* Fear - *1 Timothy 1:7*


*Besides, we must make deliberate efforts to retain the Spirit of God.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please take not your Spirit from me.
