  *A FUEL OF FAITH: THE WORD OF GOD*

SCRIPTURE: So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.


 *Faith is not believing blindly for something to happen; faith is standing on the Word of God.* 


Faith is critical to life and destiny. Without faith, it is impossible to please God. (Hebrews 11:6). So, to please God and fulfil destiny, your faith in God must be in place.


Now, faith is in place when the revelation of the Word of God in the heart of a person produces a conviction that is strong enough to result in corresponding action.


This means, faith begins with a revelation. Faith begins with the revelation of the Word of God. Romans 10: 17 says, 


So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.


So, it is not possible for faith to be in place where the Word is out of place. Whatever we claim to believe outside the Word is ordinary mental assent or something else but not faith. Bible faith is never in place without solid Word. Faith is not believing blindly for something to happen; faith is standing on the Word of God. 


For example, if someone stands on a storey building and says, “If I should jump down from here now, I believe that I will not die because I have faith in God”. That is foolishness. That is presumption. That is stupidity that will end in calamity. That is not faith. The Word of God must be the basis of faith for faith to work.


Therefore, my counsel is, treasure the Word. Study the Word always. Ground yourself in the Word so you can manifest faith. 


Remember Faith is not believing blindly for something to happen; faith is standing on the Word of God. 


◇ Make up your mind to study the Word and develop your faith.


◇ Put the Word into practice and manifest faith.


NOTE: The strength of your faith in God determines the security of your destiny. When your faith is weak, your destiny is not secured. 


REFLECTION: The marriage of the Word of God and the Will of God leads to the explosion of faith. Know His Word, know His Will and faith will explode. 


PRAYER: Thank You Lord for the revelation of Your Word to me today. I receive the grace to study Your Word and practice it in order to manifest faith, Lord, in Jesus Christ  Name.`
