                 *GROW UP*

SCRIPTURE: So David went on and became Great, and the Lord God of Hosts was with him - *2 Samuel 5:10 NKJV* 


*When the End is declared, it is important to grow up rather than 'Go Up'.*


*"Going Up" means to move to a Higher Level, while "Growing Up" means advancing to Maturity.*


*"Going Up" takes the shortest route to the Top while "Growing Up" follows the Process.*


*Whenever a man "Goes Up", he will come down, but when a man "Grows Up", he will stay up.*


*When God led the children of Israel out of Egypt, He led them through the Wiilderness so that they can "Grow" into the Promised Land but they Preferred to "Go Up" into the Promised Land hence they Perished in the Promised Land.*


The Bible says David went on and grew great.


This was the major difference between him and King Saul. 


While the former (David) "Grew Up", the latter (King Saul" "Went Up". 


Therefore, the fall of King Saul was without remedy.


*Let us take a look at some of the Blessings of "Growing Up":*


*1)* It attracts Divine Presence - *2 Samuel 5:10; 1 Samuel 3:19*


*2)*  It Purges of all evils.


*3)*  It Strengthens from within - *Luke 1:80*


*4)* It gives access to Wisdom - *Luke 2:40*


*5)* It Commands the favour of men - *1 Samuel 2:26*


*Declaring the End is important, but "Growing Up" to reach the End is not Negotiable.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, Please give me Grace to "Grow Up" rather than "Going Up" in Jesus Christ mighty name Amen.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father.
