       *HONOUR ALL MEN*

SCRIPTURE:

Honour all men. Love the Brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king - *‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬*


*God's ways are not our ways. As Heaven is higher than the Earth, His ways are higher than our ways.* 


*One of His ways is Honour.*


*We are enjoined to Honour all men.*


*All men include our Superiors and Subordinates, the Rich and the Poor, the Mighty and the Lowly.*


*The Honouring of all men in our Bible Text surprisingly comes before the fear of God.* 


Therefore,  we can't claim we fear God who is invisible when we despise men who are visible.


*Why must we give honour to all men?*


*(1)* God respects the Lowly - *Psalms 138:6*


*(2)* Every man carries the Image of God - *Genesis 1:26*


• Dishonouring any man is the same as dishonouring the Image of God.


*(3)* Men are Visible while God is Invisible - *1 Timothy 1:17*


• If we can't Honour men that we see, how can we Honour God whom we don't see.


*(4)* When you despise men, you will despise God in the Life of men Unknowingly.


Two Disciples were on the way to Emmaus, Jesus Himself drew near and talked with them, but they knew not that it was Jesus - *Luke 24:13-16*


*(5)* The man you Honour is Positioned to add values to you.


• The Maid in Naaman's house must have been honoured to have added value to the family - *2 Kings 5:2-4*


*(6)* Whenever a man sows, he will reap.


• When you Honour all men, all men will Honour you.


*(7)* We are raised to be a Blessing to our Generation, but we can't be a Blessing to men we don't Honour.


The Bible says, in Honour, Prefering one another - *Romans 12:10*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, help me never again to dishonour any man.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
