*STRENGTH FOR THE JOURNEY*

SCRIPTURE: And the Angel of the LORD came again the Second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the Journey is too great for thee - *‭‭1 Kings‬ ‭19:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬*


Elijah received a frightening Message from Jezebel, and he was afraid and ran for his Life. He felt weak and Hopeless.


The Angel of the Lord touched him and Strengthened him for the Great Journey ahead.


This tells us that for every Great Journey,  there is a need for Great Strength. 


Every Great Journey is full of Ups and Downs, Mountains and Valleys. 


Therefore, there is a need for Strength to cope with the Challenges  ahead. 


The Bible says, if a man fails in the day of adversity, his Strength is small - *Proverbs 24:10*


*Let us discuss how to access Great Strength for Great Journeys:*


*1)* Through Divine Partnership - *1 Samuel 15:29; Psalms 68:35; Isaiah 45:24; 2 Chronicles 1:1*


*2)* Through the Force of Righteousness - *Proverbs 10:29; Psalms 37:39; Psalms 31:10*


*3)*  Through Wisdom - *Proverbs 24:5; Job 9:4; Ecclesiastes 7:19*


*4)* Through the Force of Joy - *Nehemiah 8:10; Psalms 81:1*


*5)* Through waiting upon the Lord - *Isaiah 40:31; Psalms 84:7; 1 Chronicles 16:11; Psalms 27:14*


*6)* By engaging the Promises of God - *Joshua 14:11-12*


*7)* Through the Force of Covenant - *Judges 16:17*


*8)* Through the Force of Prayer - *Judges 16:28*


*9)* Through the Bread of Life - *1 Kings 19:7; 1 Samuel 28:20; Psalms 104:15; Psalms 119:28*


*10)* Through the Force of Faith - *Hebrews 11:11*


*The Strength from above will accomplish Great Journeys in my Life.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, don't let my Strength fail in the Great Journey ahead.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
