*THE FIG TREE WAS CURSED*

SCRIPTURE: And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if Perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the Season for figs. In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” And His Disciples heard it - *Mark 11:13‭-‬14*

Jesus went about doing Good, healing all those who were oppressed of the devil - *Acts 10:38*

He came to a fig tree, expecting fruits on it but it had no fruits, only leaves and He cursed the tree and said no man eat fruit of it forever. And the fig tree withered away.

*In several Places in the Scriptures, man is likened to a tree.*

For instance, the Righteous is likened to a tree Planted beside rivers of water - *Psalms 1:1-3*

*This tells us that a fruitless man is susceptible to a Divine Curse.*

Apostle Paul confirms this when he said woe is unto me if I Preach not the Gospel - *1 Corinthians 9:16*

*Besides, Jesus cursed this tree to teach us that anyone who is not useful to God, cannot be be useful to man.*

This fig tree could not Produce for Jesus, it therefore, could also not Produce for any man. 

*To be a blessing to Mankind, we must first be a blessing to God.*

The Bible says, if a man purges himself, he shall be a Vessel unto Honour, sanctified and fit for the Master's use, then he is Prepared for every good work - *1 Timothy 2:21*

For a man to be useful to Mankind, he must first be fit for God's use.

If God cannot see any fruit in a man, no man can eat any fruit out of him.

*Prayer:* Father, Please help me to bear fruits that will bring Glory to You all the days of my life.
