*ACCESSING HIS PEACE THROUGH A CHANGE OF NAME*

SCRIPTURE: And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a Prince hast thou Power with God and with men, and hast Prevailed - *Genesis 32:28*


Jacob was an exceedingly great man who reached a height no one had reached in his family - *Genesis 30:43*


Despite his attainment in Life, he was unhappy. 


The Bible says, from the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 


This means you can deduce what goes on in the heart of a man by what he says.


Jacob was quoted as saying to God that he should deliver him from the hand of Esau his brother, for he feared him - *Genesis 32:11*


This reveals to us his state of troubled Mind. 


The Bible says, God has not given us the Spirit of fear and that fear has torment - *2 Timothy 1:7, 1 John 4:18*


The Bible also tells us that the fear of man brings a snare - *Proverbs 29:25*


But, we discover that Peace was restored to Jacob's troubled Mind when he encountered an Angel of God and had his name Changed from Jacob to Israel - *Genesis 32:24-30*


The name Jacob means deceiver, and  he had no Peace. But, Peace was restored to him with his renaming as Israel, meaning Prince.


Satan is a Deceiver but Jesus is the Prince of Peace.

Satan is restless, and as a roaring lion, he walks about - *1 Peter 5:8*


But, Jesus the Prince of Peace is restful, he is set at the right hand of God - *Ephesians 1:20*


*Who your follows determines what follows you.*


*When he was named meant Deceiver, Peace eluded him. But, Peace was  restored when his name followed Jesus.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please give me a New name that will put an end to my Troubled Soul in Jesus Christ Name.
