*AT SUCH A TIME AS THIS*

SCRIPTURE: For if thou altogether holdest thy Peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and Deliverance arise to the Jews from another Place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the Kingdom for such a time as this? - *Esther 4:14*


Mordecai, Queen Esther's Uncle, Perceived that a writing had been Signed to exterminate the Jewish Nation. He rent his clothes, put on a sackcloth with ashes and went to the City to cry with a loud and bitter cry. He got to the king's gate but could not go in because no one with sackcloth could go in to the King.


In all the Provinces where there were Jews, there was great mourning because of the writing that was Signed into Law.


Therefore, Mordecai sent a Message to Esther, to use her Position as the Queen to influence the King against the implementation of the Law. Esther's response was that no one goes to the King uninvited and she is not likely to see the King in the next 30 days.


Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the King's house, more than all the Jews. For if thou altogether holdest thy Peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and Deliverance arise to the Jews from another Place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the Kingdom for such a time as this? - *Esther 4:13‭-‬14*


*We are going to Study in details the Profound reply of Mordecai:*


*1)* At such a Time as this:


What Time is it?


*(a)* A Time when the People of God are in Great distress.


*b)* A Time when the People of God are in deep Pain and Sorrow.


*c)* A Time when the People cried out against the evil Policies of Government.


*d)* A Time when those who are in Authority are without Natural affection and are heady.


*e)* A Time when the enemies of God are rejoicing.


*There are a number of Scriptures that Capture the Time we are talking about:*


*(1)* Perilous Time *2 Timothy 3:1*


*(2)* Darkness shall cover the Earth and Gross Darkness the People - *Isaiah 60:2*


*(3)* Enemies within are in Agreement with enemies Without - *Judges 15:12-15*


*The beauty and consolation of such a Time as this is that God is in Control.*


*The the Name of God was not expressly mentioned in the book of Esther, but He was very much in Control.*


*God's Promises for Such a Time as This:*


*(a)* God said in the Last Days, I will Pour out my Spirit upon all flesh -  *Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17*


*(2)* The Lord shall arise upon thee - *Isaiah 60:2*


*(3)* The enemy shall come in one way and flee seven ways - *Deuteronomy 28:7*


*(4)* When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up Standard against him - *Isaiah 59:19*


*(5)* Rejoice not against me o my enemies - *Micah 7:8*


*Therefore, the way out of such a Time as this is to engage the Person of the Holy Spirit.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please Pour Your Spirit upon me at such a Time as this In Jesus Name.
