*JESUS, THOU SON OF DAVID!*

SCRIPTURE: And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have Mercy on me - *Mark 10:47*


Blind Bartimeus heard that Jesus was Passing by, he cried, 'Jesus, thou Son of David, have Mercy on me.'


*Why did he link Jesus with David?*


*(1) )* He knew that Jesus is the root and the offspring of David - *Revelation 22:16*


*(2)* He knew that God keeps His Covenant - *Psalms 89:34*


*(3)* He knew that God established the Covenant of Mercy with David - *Psalms 89:24*


*(4)* He knew that God's Covenant of Mercy with David Stands forever, it will never be broken - *Jeremiah 33:20-21*


*(5)* He knew by crying the name of David, God will remember His Covenant with him. 


The Bible says, God has remembered His Covenant for ever - *Psalms 105:8*


*In the Light of the above, it is highly helpful and effective to bring in the name of David whenever we cry for Mercy.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please remember your Covenant with David and have Mercy on me in Jesus Christ Name.
