*CHOSEN TO BE VERSATILE*

SCRIPTURE: Now these be the last words of David. David the son of Jesse said, And the man who was raised up on high, The Anointed of the God of Jacob, And the sweet Psalmist of Israel, said - *2 Samuel 23:1*


*Everyone Chosen by God is meant to be Versatile, to be a man of many Parts ,a man .of Notable Endowments, a Gifted Man.*


*David was a Versatile Man.*


*Let us take a look at how Versatile he was:*


*(1)* The son of Jesse.


He was not the only son of Jesse. Jesse had eight sons but David was the Pillar in the family, and through him the name Jesse was known in Israel. Through him, the house of Jesse was free of taxes in Israel.


*(2)* The man raised up on high.


David was a man who went through various Stages of influence in Life.


Captain over his brothers - *1 Samuel 16:13*


King over the Tribe of Judah - *2 Samuel 2:4*


King of Israel - *2 Samuel 5:3*


Father of our Lord Jesus Christ - *Mark 10:46-52*


*(3)* The Anointed of the God of Jacob. 


He was a Servant of God - *Psalms 89:20*


He was set aside by God for Special Assignments, Particularly to take away Reproaches from Israel.


*(4)* Sweet Psalmist of Israel.


He wrote about 73 Psalms.


He was the Choir Master of Israel.


He was the Minister of Spiritual Melody in Israel.


David flourished in Life and was a Blessing to individuals, families, his Nation and the Kingdom of God.


*Prayer:*

Father, Please through me let my family name be widely known for Good in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
