  *CRISIS AFTER VICTORY*

SCRIPTURE: And he was sore athirst, and called on the LORD, and said, Thou hast given this Great Deliverance into the hand of thy Servant: and now shall I die for thirst, and fall into the hand of the Uncircumcised? - *Judges 15:18 (KJV)*


*Victory is sweet because so many beautiful things follow Victory.*


For instance, when four Powerful Nations came against Jehoshaphat, the king of Judah, God gave Victory to Jehoshaphat  and his People after their Victory, they spent three days Gathering the Spoil. They had so much Riches and Joy, and God gave them rest round about - *2 Chronicles 20:1-30*


But, when God gave Samson Victory over the Philistines, his Victory was not Sweet because it was followed by pain and the cry for Death - *Judges 15:18*


*Why will crisis follow Victory?*


*(1)* When attention is shifted away from the Giver of Victory to the Gift of Victory - *1 Corinthians 15:57*


• Samson said with the  jawbone of an Ass I slew a thousand men - *Judges 15:16*


• His attention shifted away from God to a thousand men he slain. 


*(2)* When Victory turns a Man away from God.


• King Uzziah was marvellously helped, and he was Strong by the Hand of God. But, when he became  Strong, he walked away from the Lord, and crisis followed his Victory. He eventually died a Leper - *2 Chronicles 26:15-21*


*(3)* When we throw away whatever gives us Victory.


• As soon as Samson was Victorious, he cast away the jawbone of an Ass - *Judges 15:17*


• The source of Victory will sustain it.


*(4)* When Gratitude does not follow Victory, crisis will.


• Samson had crisis after Victory because he gave no Thanks to God, for Victory he had.


*(5)* When you do not forsake your sin in spite of your Victory.


• The Bible says, the Ttriumphing of the Wicked is short - *Job 20:5*


*Crisis After Victory is avoidable if our Victories draw us Closer to God, the Giver of Victories.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, take sorrow away sorrow from me, and let me draw Closer to You after every Victory in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
