*MERCY COMES BEFORE FAVOUR*

SCRIPTURE: But the LORD was with Joseph, and shewed him Mercy, and gave him Favour in the sight of the keeper of the Prison - *Genesis 39:21*


The door of favour is opened unto a man only when the Lord arises to show him Mercy - *Psalms 102:13*


In our Anchor Bible Text above, the Lord was with Joseph and showed him Mercy. Thereafter, he received Favour from the Keeper of the Prison. 


*Obtaining Favour from the Lord therefore requires the following:*


*(1)* Confessing and Forsaking of sin - *Proverbs 28:13*


*(2)* Appreciating God's Mercy that brought us to where we are - *Lamentations 3:22; Romans 9:15-16; Psalms 92:1*


*(3)* Continuously asking for God's Mercy - *Mark 10: 46-52; Matthew 7:7*


*(4)* Sowing Mercy into the lives of Others - *Matthew 18:32-33; Galatians 6:7*


*God is no Respecter of Persons, He gave favour to Joseph, and we can also Provoke Him to obtain His Favour.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please give me Grace to Provoke Your Favour in my Life in Jesus Christ Name.
