*SERVING GOD: A SERIOUS BUSINESS*

SCRIPTURE: Not Slothful in Business; fervent in Spirit; serving the Lord - *Romans 12:11*


*Serving the Lord requires Diligence.* 


*The Slothful can't serve God acceptably.*


The Bible says, if thou shall hearken diligently to the voice of the Lord thy God - *Exofus 15:26; Deuteronomy 28:1*


*To hearken to the voice of the Lord requires Diligence.*


The Bible also says, if ye will diligently obey the voice of the Lord  thy God - *Zechariah 6:15*


*Obedience to the voice of the Lord requires Diligence.*


*The children of Israel that left Egypt couldn't enter the Promised Land, except for Joshua and Caleb because of their Slothfulness.*


They were Slothful in hearkening and obeying the voice of the Lord - *Numbers 14*


The Bible says, "Seeks ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near - *Isaiah 55:6*


*The Diligent will seek when God can be found, he will call when God is near.*


The Bible says, whatsoever thy hand hand findeth to do, do it with all thy Might - *Ecclesiastes 9:10*


The Bible says, if any Man Minister, let him do it as of the ability which God gives - *1 Peter 4:11*


*It is highly rewarding to be Diligent and not Slothful.*


The Bible says, He that labours, labour for himself - *Proverbs 16:26*


The Bible says, "seest thou a man Diligent in his business? he shall Stand before Kings he shall not Stand before mean Men" - *Proverbs 22:29*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to serve you Diligently and not Slothfully in Jesus Christ Name.
