       *THE FIRE OF GOD*

SCRIPTURE: When he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting against him. Then the Spirit of the Lord came Mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands - *Judges 15:14*


Samson was bound by 3,000 Men of Judah and handed over to the Philistines, his enemies. When the Philistines saw Samson bound they shouted for Joy.


The Bible says, the Spirit of God came Mightily upon him and the cords used to bind him was burnt with fire and he was loosed. Thereafter, he took a new Jawbone of an ass and killed a thousand men with it.


*There are certain Lessons we need to learn about the fire of God:*


*1)* Wherever God is, Fire is Present because He is a Consuming Fire - *Hebrews 12:29*


It was when the Spirit of God came that Fire burnt the cords. 


God said, 'I will be a wall of Fire unto her' - *Zechariah 2:5*


The Angel of the Lord appeared unto Moses in a flame of Fire - *Exodus 3:1-2*


*2)* The Fire of God is to help a Child of God in his trouble and not to destroy him - *Psalms 46:1*


The Fire came to free Samson and not to destroy him. The Fire is meant to refine a Child of God - *Zechariah 13:9; Malachi 3:2*


*3)* The Fire will also Strengthen and empower a Child of God.


Samson was Strengthened and empowered to face his enemies with a new Jawbone of an Ass - *Psalms 105:24*


*4)* The Fire will bring to pass the Promises of God to pass in the Life of a Man. 


Samson killed a thousand men with a Jawbone of an Ass - *Deuteronomy 32:30*


*5)* When the Fire comes, the Joy and the Expectations of our enemies shall Perish - *Job 20:5; Proverbs 10:28; Proverbs 11:7*


*The Fire of God that brought Deliverance, Blessings and Joy to Samson, brought Pain, Sorrow and Destruction to the Philistines, the enemies of God.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please release Your Fire on me and let it bring Freedom, Blessings and Joy to me, my family and my Nation in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father.
