*THE HEAVEN STOOD STILL*

SCRIPTURE: And Jesus stood still and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of Good Comfort, rise; He calleth thee - *Mark 10:49*


Unbelievably, an Ordinary  Man who was not even a Priest but a beggar caused Heaven to Stand Still.


Bartimeus, a beggar by the highway side cried, and Jesus Stood Still.


Obviously, God is not a respecter of Persons but a respecter of Obedience to Principles - *Acts 10:34*


*Let us take a look at what made the Heaven to Stand Still:*


*(1)* He raised a voice of Worship. 


He said, 'Jesus, thou Son of David.'


• All the beings in Heaven  Praise God. Yet, God is still seeking Worshippers in Spirit and in Truth - *John 4:23-24*


• God Praisers will Command the attention of Heaven.


*(2)* Bartimeus Pleaded for Mercy.


• The Bible says, the eye of the Lord is upon them that Hope in His Mercy - *Psalms 33:18*


*(3)* He was very Desperate to see God such that no one could shut his mouth.


• The Parable of the Unrighteous Judge confirms that a Desperate Voice will command Heaven's  attention - *Luke 18:1-8*


*(4)* He cried with a Heart to forsake his Wicked ways. 


• He cast away his Dirty Garment - *Psalms 51:17*


The Bible says, blessed are the Pure in Heart: for they shall see God - *Matthew 5:8*


*(5) )* He cried with the Heart to follow Jesus in the way. 


He was not just interested in receiving a Miracle but to be a Follower of Christ - *Mark 10:50*


*Heaven will Stand Still for as many as will pay the Price, since Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to cause the Heavens to Stand still in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father.
