   *UNREWARDING FIGHT*

*By Pastor E O Gabriel  21 March 2024*

SCRIPTURE: Then he turned from him toward another and said the same thing; and these People answered him as the first ones did - *1 Samuel 17:30*

*Life is full of battles, but many battles are unrewarding and very distractive.*

*A Man of Destiny must be good at identifying and avoiding this kind of battles.*

David went to give his brothers' food at the war front and he heard Goliath despising the Army of Israel.

He wondered how an uncircumcised Philistine could defy the Army of the Lord.

His brother Eliab, who should have been thankful for David, initiated a fight with him. His anger was kindled against David and he said, 'I know thy Pride and the Naughtiness of thine heart, for thou art come down that thou mightiest see the battle.' *1 Samuel 17:28*

David was quick to understand that fighting against Eliab was unrewarding and distracting, he turned from him to engage in the battle against Goliath, which would moved him into Royalty and made his family free of taxes in Israel.

*It is important for us to know that whenever the Lord wants to do something Great in our lives, the devil will want to engage us in unrewarding battles to distract us. Like David, we must be quick to turn away.*

*Prayer:*

Father, in the name of Jesus, please give me the grace to turn away from unrewarding battles of life that are meant to distract me from my destiny in Jesus Christ Name.
