*HE WAS ARRESTED FOR OUR FREEDOM*

*Bible Text:* John 18:1-8


SCRIPTURE: Jesus answered, "I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way - *John 18:8*


Jesus and His Disciples went into the Garden of Gethsemane to Pray. And there, Judas Iscariot led a band of men and officers from the Chief Priests and Pharisees to arrest Him.


When the arresters came, He asked, 'whom seek ye'? They answered, 'Jesus of Nazareth.' Jesus said unto them, 'I am He.'


As soon as He said so, they all went backward and fell to the ground. 


Jesus asked them the second time, 'Whom seek ye?' And they answered, 'Jesus of Nazereth.'


Jesus told them, "If ye seek me, let these go their way.


He surrendered Himself to be arrested, that His Disciples would go free.


*Therefore, Jesus was arrested for our Freedom.*


*His arrest guarantees our Freedom from the following:*


*(1)* Freedom from the wages of sin.


The Bible says, all have sinned, and the wages of sin is Death - *Romans 3:23; Psalms 130:3; Romans 6:23; Ezekiel 18:4*


Our Covenant with Death is disannualed - *Isaiah 28:18*


*(2)* Freedom from the Power of sin.


The Bible says, sin shall not have Dominion over you - *Romans 6:14*


Freedom from doing what we hate is Guaranteed - *Romans 7:15*


*(3)* Freedom from evil entanglements - *Galatians 5:1*


*(4)* We are free to Obey and serve God.


*(5)* Freedom to fulfil Destiny - *John 18:8*


*The arrest of Jesus has set us free, and we must enforce our Freedom.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to enforce my Freedom In Jesus Christ Name.
