*RESTORATION: PROFOUND LESSONS*

*The Story of Abraham's Marital Restoration gave us Profound Lessons about Restoration.*


Abimelech, the king of Gerah, took Sarah, Abraham's wife, because Abraham introduced her as his sister.


By Divine Intervention, Sarah was restored to Abraham - *Genesis 20:1-18*


*The following can be learnt:*


*1)* Sin is the root cause of losses.


• Abraham lied, and Abimelech took Sarah, his wife. 


• The Psalmist said, mine Strength failed because of my Iniquity - *Psalms 31:10*


He lost his Strength because of his sin.


• Abraham lost his Marriage, a Relationship, a Helper, a Good Thing, Favour of the Lord, etc, because he lied - *Genesis 2:18; Proverbs 18:22*


*2)* Nothing is too hard for the Lord to restore.


• Abraham's Restoration seemed impossible because it was the King, the most Powerful man in the City that took his wife. But, with God, no Restoration is impossible - *Jeremiah 32:27, Matthew 19:26*


• Restoration of Health is Possible - *Jeremiah 30:17*


Restoration of Wasted years, lost Opportunities, etc, are Possible - *Joel 2:25*


*3)* Restoration is different from Recovery.


• God will teach your hands to war and your fingers to fight so as to recover all - *Psalms 144:1; 1 Samuel 30:1-18*


• God works on our behalf to effect our Restoration - *Jeremiah 30:17; Joel 2:25; 2 Samuel 9:7*


• Therefore, Recovery is a Product of Labour, while Restoration is a Product of Favour.


*4)* Restoration is not a Replacement. It is a blessing Beyond Replacement.


• When Abimelech was restoring Sarah, he added sheep, oxen, men servants, women servants, and a thousand pieces of silver - *Genesis 20:14-15; Daniel 4:36*


*5)* God works behind the Scenes to effect Restoration. 


• He works in the Spiritual Realm for the Physical Manifestations of restoration.


*God appeared to Abimelech in a Dream to threaten him to restore Sarah.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus Please threaten my Enemies for my Restoration in Jesus Christ mighty Name.
