*THE SEVEN SONS OF SCEVA*

SCRIPTURE: And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas and drew them into the Marketplace unto the Rulers - *Acts 16:19*

A Jewish Chief Priest named Sceva had seven sons. These seven sons of Sceva wanted to cast out demons from a man at Ephesus in the Name of Jesus whom Paul Preached. The evil spirit said to them, "Jesus, I know Paul, I know, who are you?" The man with the evil spirits jumped at them and beat them. They fled wounded - *Acts 19:13-16*

The Bible says, whosoever breaks an hedge, serpent shall bite him - *Ecclesiastes 10:8*

The Divine Order is to know the Lord and then do an exploit for the Lord - *Mark 3:13-15*

*It is a break of this Divine Order to attempt to do Exploits when you are yet to know the Lord.* 

*When this Order is broken, the Presence and the Power of God are absent to Provide a defence for the one doing the Exploits.*

*The seven sons of Sceva were doing God's work when the Presence and Power of God were not Present with them. Hence, they were wounded.*

Our Lord Jesus told the Disciples before His ascension to tarry in the City of Jerusalem until they are endued with Power from on High - *Luke  24:49*

They obeyed and tarried and received the Power of God when the Holy Spirit came upon them - *Acts 1:8*

*Doing Exploits without the Presence and Power of God makes a man Vulnerable.*

*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me not to break the Divine Order and end up a Victim in the battles of Life in Jesus Christ Name.
