*WITHHELD BACK FROM SINNING*

SCRIPTURE: And God said unto him in a Dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the Integrity of thy Heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her - *Genesis 20:6 (KJV)*


Abimelech took Sarah, the wife of Abraham. Before Abimelech came near her, God appeared to him in a Dream to withhold him from sinning against Him - *Genesis 20:6*


*God does not only teach us the way to go but also withholds us from sinning against Him.*


The Psalmist said, "thou has given me the Shield of Salvation, and thy right hand had holden me up that my feet did not slip - *Psalms 18:35-36*


When Balaam was engaged to curse the children of Israel, which was against the Will of God, God withheld him severally. The Lord told Balaam expressly not to go, and the Angel of the Lord stood in his way. Despite all the moves to withhold him, he still went. But God didn't give up on withholding him from sinning. When he opened his mouth to curse, he was Blessing them - *Numbers 22:12-23; Numbers 23:7-11*


*Our God can go to any length to withhold a beloved from sinning against Him.*


*Therefore, we should always Pray fervently that God will withhold us from sinning against Him.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, Please withhold me from sinning against You in Jesus Christ Name.
