HARDSHIP HAS NO SOLUTION AT ESEK

*HARDSHIP HAS NO SOLUTION AT ESEK*

SCRIPTURE: Do all things without Murmurings and disputings - *‭‭Philippians 2:14 KJV‬‬*


Hardship is not Strange to man. It is as old as Man.


Isaac, in his drive to find a way out to hardship in his time, dug a well at Esek, and he got water for animal and crop farming - *Genesis 26:19-20* 


While he was excited that a Solution was in sight for the hardship, the Herdsmen at Esek strove with him, and he moved out Esek.


This teaches us that there is no Solution to hardship at Esek.


*Esek means Land of dispute or contention.* 


*Hardship will trigger dispute or contention.*


The Syrians besieged Samaria, and there was great hardship in Samaria. Two women who were once very close fell apart because of the hardship.


The dispute was irreconcilable that one of them reported to the King. 


Unfortunately, the King could not resolve the dispute - *2 Kings 6:24-30*


*When hardship triggers a dispute in a family and it is not resolved, the family will be overwhelmed by the hardship.*


With this understanding, Isaac moved out of Esek  because there was no way out of hardship at Esek.


In our Anchor Bible Text, we are admonished to do all things without murmurings and disputing. 


*Dangers of Staying at Esek*


*(1)* No Unity at Esek. 


*United, we stand, Divided we fall.*


*(2)* There is Helplessness at Esek - *Genesis 2:18*


*(3)* The Blessing of God that makes rich rich is absent at Esek - *Psalma 133:1-3*


*(4)* Yoke Breaker, or Hardship Breaker, not at Esek - *Psalms 133: 1-3*


*(5)* Hardship multiples at Esek.


*Let us Pay the Price of moving out of Esek, that is, every Place of contention.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in Jesus Name, Please help me to end all disputes in my family in Jesus Christ Name.
