*STRENGTHEN YOUR INWARD  MAN - Part 1*

SCRIPTURE: And the child grew, and waxed Strong in Spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel - *‭Luke 1:80 KJV‬*


God is Spirit, and Man was created in His Image. 


Therefore, Man is a Spirit and has a Soul and lives inside a Body - *John 4:24; Genesis 1:27*


Man is a type of Trinity consisting of Spirit, Soul, and Body  *1 Thessalonians 5:23*


The Body is the Outward Man that relates with the Physical world. 


The Body is from the dust and will return to the dust. It is Perishable - *Genesis 3:19*


The Soul is the seat of Will, Emotion, and Intellect. The Soul of Man is Eternal.


The Spirit of Man relates with God. 


The Bible says the Spirit of man is the Candle of the Lord - *Proverbs 20:27*


The Bible also says the Spirit itself beareth Witness with our Spirit that we are the Children of God - *Romans 8:16*


The Spirit of Man is also referred to as the Inward Man - *Romans 7:22; 2 Corinthians 4:16*


The Spirit of Man is also referred to as the Hidden Man of the Heart - *1 Peter 3:4*


The Inward Man can be broken by the sorrow of the Heart - *Proverbs 15:13*


*When the Inward Man is broken, then he is discouraged, hopeless, frustrated, and depressed.*


*Therefore, there is a need to Intentionally Strengthen the Inward Man.*


Our Anchor Bible Text says that the Child (John the Baptist) grew and waxed Strong in Spirit.


As John the Baptist was growing up, he was Strengthening his Inward Man.


*Prayer:*

Father, in Jesus Name, Please give me the Grace to Purposefully Strengthen my Inward Man in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
