*THE BLESSINGS OF WAITING*

SCRIPTURE: Praising God, and having favour with all the People. And the Lord added to the Church daily such as should be saved - *‭Acts 2:47 KJV‬*


The Disciples were admonished to wait in the City of Jerusalem for the Promise of the Father - *Acts 1:4; Luke 24:49*


Therefore, they assembled at the Upper Room until the Promise of the Father was fulfilled - *Acts 2:1-4*


The Disciples experienced a Great Life Changing encounter.


*The following among others were the result of their waiting:*


*(1)* Boldness 


• Peter, who was once afraid to declare Jesus even to a damsel, now stood with boldness to a Great Congregation of People, which was more than  three thousand.


• Boldness is a blessing of waiting on God - *Acts 4:13*


*(2)* Word of Life


• Waiting on God makes the Word Powerful and full of Life - *John 6:63*


Peter spoke the Word, and the hearts of men were pricked, and they said what must we do to be saved - *Acts 2:37*


*(3)* Empowerment to Pray


• The Disciples were empowered to Pray - *Acts 2:42*


*(4)* Love (Fruit of Spirit)


• There was Togetherness among them and had all things common - *Acts 2:43-44, 46*


*(5)* Giving


• They sold their Possessions and brought the Proceeds for Common use.

Giving is Living - *Proverbs 11:24*


*(6)* Gift of the Holy Spirit


The Disciples did many Wonders and Signs - *Acts 2:43*


*(7)* Favour


• The waiting on God gave them favour with God and men - *Acts 2:47*


*These Blessings came on them as a result of waiting. It brought about the birth of the Church and her Exponential Growth.*


*Prayer*

Father, in Jesus Name, Please empower me to wait on You for an all round Growth in Life in Jesus Christ Name.
