*THE CONSPIRACY OF ABSALOM*

SCRIPTURE: And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David's Counsellor, from his City, even from Giloh, while he offered Sacrifices. And the Conspiracy was Strong; for the People increased continually with Absalom - *‭2 Samuel 15:12 KJV‬*


*There are a number of Conspiracies in the Bible, but the Conspiracy of Absalom against David was described as a Strong Conspiracy.*


*Why was it Strong?*


*There are a number of reasons, some of which are:*


*(1)* The Conspiracy was Masterminded by an Insider. 


Absalom was the son of David - *Psalms 55: 12-14*


*(2)* He was a Helper Sent by God. 


*Ahithophel was David's counsellor whose Counsel was as if a man had enquired at the Oracle of God* - *2 Samuel 16:23*


*(3)* The number of the Conspirators kept increasing - *Psalms 3:1*


*(4)* The Conspiracy was to discredit David's Past Great Achievements.


*(5)* The Conspiracy was to give David a Bitter and Sorrowful End.


*(6)* The Success or Failure of the Conspiracy is Painful. 


David wept when the Conspiracy of Absalom was crushed - *2 Samuel 18:33*


*(7)* The Conspiracy is linked to the sin of David - *Psalms 107: 17;  Lamentations 1:5*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please arise on my behalf against every Strong Conspiracy against me in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
