*THE REAL CURE TO HARDSHIP*

SCRIPTURE: The man began to Prosper, and continued Prospering until he became very Prosperous - *Genesis 26:13 NKJV‬‬*


•There is no New Thing under the Sun - *Ecclesiastes 1:9*


•Hardship of any kind is not New - It is as Old as Man - *Genesis 26:1*


•The Patriarchs in the Bible experienced Hardship, and they Overcame.


•Isaac, a Man loved by God, faced Hardship that would have made him turn back from God, but he was guided by the Lord, and he Overcame.


•From his Testimony, we can deduce the real cure to Hardship. 


*In the above Anchor Bible Text, the real cure to Hardship is to rise above the Level it hit you.*


*Staying at the Level the Hardship hit you, will cause it to overwhelm you.*


•When Hardship hit Isaac, in the midst of it, he developed himself. 


•The Bible says the Man (Isaac) waxed Great and went forward and grew until he became "Very Great".


•He was very intentional about his Development, which began at Esek - *Genesis 26:20*


•His efforts were thwarted at Esek, by a Land of dispute - *Genesis 26:20*


•Dispute is Anti-Progress.

•But, he moved on to Sitnah - *Genesis 26:21*


•His efforts at Sitnah were also Unfruitful because it was a Land of Hatred. 


•Nothing Good can come out of the Land of Hatred.


•Isaac moved on to Rehoboth - *Genesis 26:22*


*Rehoboth was an Open Space given by God to Prosper. He had room for Development and overcame the Hardship of the time.*


*Great Lessons:*


*(1)* Don't see Hardship as something Strange - *1 Peter 4:12*


*(2)* Avoid dispute - *Philippians 2:14*


*(3)* Nurse no Hatred against anyone - *Galatians 5:20*


*Hatred Strengthens Hardship.*


*(4)* Make your Life a fertile Ground for Good Ideas - *Matthew 13:8*


*(5)* Engage all Resources at your disposal for Development - *Ecclesiastes 9:10*


*Prayer:*

Father, in Jesus' Name, Please help me to rise above Hardship in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
