*LEAH: A HATED WIFE - Part 1*

SCRIPTURE: When the Lord  saw that Leah was unloved, He opened her womb; but Rachel was barren - *Genesis 29:31 NKJV*


Jacob married Leah, the first daughter of Laban, not by Choice but by force. So Jacob hated her.


When God saw that Leah was hated, He opened her womb. Leah gave birth to Levi, Judah, and four others - *Genesis 29:32-35*


Levi is the Progenitor of the Priests in Israel while Judah is the Progenitor of Kings in Israel. 


David is of the tribe of Judah. More importantly, our Lord Jesus Christ is the Lion of the tribe of Judah - *Revelation 5:5*


*Consequently, there are a number of Lessons to learn from the hatred of Jacob towards Leah:*


*(1)* *The Lord will fight for the hated.*


• God opened the womb of Leah when He saw that she was hated - *Genesis 29:31*


*(2)* *Man's Knowledge is Limited.*


• The Man you hate today may be your Deliverer tomorrow. 


*(3)* *Nothing in Life happens by accident.*


Everything is ordained by God for a reason - *Ephesians 1:11; Romans 8:29*


*(4)* *Whatever God Permits to happen to a Child of God is for his Good* - *Romans 8:28*


• Jacob was forced to marry Leah, unknown to him it was for his Good.


*(5)* *Be Grateful to God for whatever comes your way in Life.*


• If Jacob were to be alive today, he would forever be Grateful to God that he married Leah - *1 Thessalonians 5:18*


*(6)* *The Covenant between God and Abraham was Preserved by the Marriage of Jacob to Leah.*


*(7)* *The woman that Jacob hated was the Will of God for him.*


*Prayer:*

Father, in spite of my feelings, let your Perfect Will come to Pass in my Life in Jesus Christ Name.

Jacob was enlarged, and the Bible says, the man (Jacob) increased Exceedingly - *Genesis 30:43* The Enlargement of Jacob was with a lot of Struggles.  He Struggled with Esau, his brother, in the womb - *Genesis 25:22* Even when he was born, he continued to Struggle with Esau, for his Birthright.  Jacob, in his quest for Enlargement, deceived his father. Jacob also Struggled with Laban, his Uncle.
