       *MAN OF AUTHORITY*

SCRIPTURE: For I am a Man under Authority, having Soldiers under me: and I say to this Man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my Servant, Do this, and he doeth it - *Matthew 8:9*


*Authority is the right or Legitimacy to use Power.*


In our Bible Text, the Centurion said to our Lord Jesus Christ I exercise Authority over my Subordinates because I am under Authority.


*This explanation of the Centurion teaches us the following about a Man of Authority:*


*(1)* He is a Man who is Obedient to Higher Authority. 


*(2)* He enjoys the backing of the Higher Authority.


*(3)* His Subordinates willingly obey him.


*(4)* Forces of Darkness are Subject to him.


*(5)* He rules over situations and circumstances of Life.


*Man of Authority enjoys some Uncommon Blessings, some of which are seen in the Life of Phillips, the Evangelist* - *Acts 21:8-9*


*These include:*


*(1)* Godly home.


*(2)* Joyful home.


*(3)* Morally Upright and Spiritually Sound children.


*Prayer:*

Father, help me to be a Man of Authority in Jesus Christ Name.
