*THE EVILS OF DWELLING IN DARKNESS - Part 1*

SCRIPTURE: And Moses Stretched forth his hand toward Heaven; and there was a thick Darkness in all the Land of Egypt three days:


*[23]* They saw not one another, neither rose any from his Place for three days: but all the children of Israel had Light in their Dwellings - *Exodus 10: 22-23 KJV*


Light is Good - *Genesis 1:4*


Therefore, Darkness is evil .


The evils of Darkness are seen in the above Scriptures.


One of the Plagues that befell Egypt before Pharaoh allowed the children of God to leave Egypt to serve their God was Gross Darkness. 


When Moses lifted up his hand to Heaven, thick Darkness covered the Land of Egypt for three days. 


During this Period, no one saw another, and neither did anyone arise from where he was.


They dwelt in Darkness, and though they had eyes, they could not see. Having eyes without seeing is worse than being blind. 


*Having eyes without seeing could result in:*


*(a)* Taking wrong Steps, wrong Decisions, or falling into Errors.


• Elimelech was dwelling in Darkness when he relocated his family from Bethlehem of Judah to Moab because of famine. He never lived to tell the bitter Story - *Ruth 1:1-21*


• Isaac was to make a similar wrong Decision, but Light shined in his Path - *Genesis 26:1-2*


*(2)* Dwelling In Darkness results in Suffering in the midst of Plenty - *Genesis 21:14*


*(3)* A Man who lives in Darkness becomes a Wanderer in Life, while a man who dwells in the Light becomes a Wonder in Life - *Numbers 14:33*


*(4)* Enemies become close Allies, and Helpers are hated when a man dwells in Darkness - *Judges 16; 2 Samuel 10:1-4*


*(5)* The Man who dwells in Darkness is fearful - *2 Kings 6:14-17*


*Prayer:*

Father, in the Name of Jesus, let there be Light in my Life and guide me against wrong Decisions in Jesus Christ Name.
