*RIDING ON THE WINGS OF THE WORD*

SCRIPTURE: And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy Word I will let down the net - *Luke 5:5*

 

Peter and the rest of the disciples were in a boat, when they saw Jesus walking on water. Then Peter said bid me to come and Jesus answered him and said, 'Come'. 


He rode on the wings of the Word, came out of the boat and began to walk on water to go to Jesus.


*It is amazing what we can achieve, when we ride on the wings of the Word.*


1. He was able to break record, and set another one because no mortal man had ever did what he did - *Matthew 14:26-29*


2. Besides, by riding on the wings of the Word, he was able to put the force of Gravity on hold.


Therefore, by riding on the Word, we can put on hold every forces resisting our Progress in life and family.


*Riding on the wings of the Word is reliable and unfailing because the grass withers, the flower fades but, the Word of the Lord stands forever* - *Isaiah 40:8*

 

Once we are running with the Word, we will get results because the Word shall not return void unless it accomplishes the Purpose for which it was sent - *Isaiah 55:11*


*When the situations and circumstances are contrary to the Word and yet we ride on the wings of the Word, we will not be put to shame.*


In the main text, we see Peter had toiled all night and caught nothing. Jesus told him to launch out into the deep for a catch and initially, he was reluctant but, he later decided to ride on the wings of the Word and caught a great multitude of fishes, that the net broke.


*Whatever the Word has said,  we should believe and act on it, then the Lord will give results.*


*Prayer:*

Father, You are the Word from the beginning, give me the Grace to ride on the Wings of the Word, so that I will never be put to shame in Jesus Christ Name.
