    *ENDURE HARDSHIPS*

SCRIPTURE: You therefore must endure hardship as a Good Soldier of Jesus Christ - *II Timothy 2:3* 


One Major reason Believers compromise their Faith and sell off their Birthrights, is their unwillingness to endure hardships.


Esau came back from the field hungry, his brother Jacob had food, and Esau requested for food. Jacob made him an offer his birthright in exchange  for food. Esau answered and said he was at the Point of death and of what Profit  was the birthright to him.

Esau then sold his birthright, for food - *Genesis 25:29-33*


*Taking a look at this short story, the inability to endure hardships will cause the following among others:*


*1. First, it will make one to Magnify his challenges.*


Esau came back from the field hungry and the next moment, he said he was at the Point of death. He was not carried away from the field, he walked home himself, how then did he conclude he was at the Point of death? 


He only exaggerated his situation because he could not endure.


*2. Secondly, the inability to endure hardship will make a man to devalue what God values.*


He devalued the Spiritual for the carnal.


*1 Corinthians 2:14 says:* A Natural man receives not the things of the Spirit, for they are foolishness unto him.


*3. Thirdly, the inability to endure hardship will Prevent a man from taking the right step or follow the required Process.*


Esau with the birthright enjoyed love of his father. 


*Genesis 25:28 says:* Isaac loved Esau, meaning he would give him food  without requesting for anything from him and Isaac was very great - *Genesis 26:13*


*Whenever you are tempted to compromise your Faith to get anything, remember that your Heavenly Father is the Possessor of the Heavens and the Earth and He loves you - *Genesis 14:19, John 3:16*


*4. Fourthly, the inability to endure hardship will give you the wrong impression that weeping will endure forever.*


The Truth is those who sow in tears will reap in Joy - *Psalms 126:5*


*5. Lastly, the inability to endure hardship will make a man sacrifice his Glorious Future for Present enjoyment.*


Esau ate the food but his future was gone. 


*Today, our God is the God of Jacob and not the God of Esau because Esau could not endure hardship.*


Our Bible Text above, encourages us to endure hardships as Good Soldiers of Jesus Christ, so that we will not miss the Glorious future God has Planned for us - *Jeremiah 29:11*


*Romans 8:18 says:* For I reckon that the sufferings of this Present times, are not worthy to be compared with the Glory that shall be revealed in us.


*Prayer:* 

Father, Please help me not to compromise my Glorious Future, empower me to endure hardships and the tribulations of life in Jesus Christ Name.
