*NOT MEANT TO SIT AT THE GATE*

SCRIPTURE: And ye shall eat in Plenty, and be satisfied, and Praise the Name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my People shall never be ashamed - *Joel 2:26*

*One of the Lessons we are taught by the Story of the man lame from his mother's womb, is that we are not meant to sit at the Gate.*

The man at the beautiful gate, was carried and laid daily at the gate of the Temple called Beautiful. *Acts 3:1-11*

*Treasures are not at the gate, but within the City.*

No wonder the man sits at the gate to ask alms. 

*At the gate is dryness, men at gate live from hand to mouth.*

The widow of Zarephath was met by Elijah at the City gates, gathering sticks to Prepare a Meal for herself and her son  to eat and to die - *2 Kings 17:10-12*

The four leprous men at the gate of Samaria were talking of death, because there was nothing to eat at the gate - *2 Kings 7:3*

The Plan of God for us, is to eat in Plenty and be satisfied and Praise the Name of the Lord, according to our anchor text.  

*Therefore, we need to relocate from the gate.*

The lame man had an encounter with God through Peter and John, and he moved away from the gate, Praising the Lord.

*We also need an encounter with the Lord to move us away from the gate so that we can Praise God for the rest of our lives.*

*Prayer:*

Father, Please give me an encounter that will move me and my family away from the gate, that we may Praise you all the days of our lives in Jesus Christ Name.
