*THE CLEANSING POWER OF THE WORD*

SCRIPTURE: Sanctify them by Your Truth. Your word is Truth - *John 17:17*


The Word of God is Powerful, the worlds were framed by the Word - *Hebrews 11:3* 


*Kingdoms were built and divided by the Word. Kings are enthroned and dethroned by the instrumentality of the Word.*


Our anchor text teaches about the "Cleansing Power" of the Word; Sanctification is  separation from evil and separation unto God. 


*Sanctification talks about abstinence from all filthiness, so as to live Holy.* 


*1 Thessalonians 4:3 says:* For this is the Will of God even your Sanctification.


It is the Will of God that we abstain from all filthiness and be Holy. The Word of God is one weapon instrumental in our Sanctification.


The Word has the Power to cleanse a man from all his filthiness. 


*Ephesians 5:26 says:* That He might Sanctify and Cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word. 


Through the Word, liars, fornicators, murderers etc. can become Saints.


The Bible talks about Joseph who was sold as a servant and whose feet they hurt with fetters, and he was laid in iron, until when the Word came - the Word tried him. 


Then the king sent and loosed him and let him go. He made him lord of his house and ruler of all his substance - *Psalms 105:17-21*


The Word of the Lord came, set him free from fetters and established his dominion.


Apostle Paul who told his Spiritual son, to study to show himself approved unto God, a workman that needs not be ashamed rightly dividing the Word of truth, was a Persecutor and a Murderer but his story was transformed by the Word. 


David said thy Word have l hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.


In the light of the above, for us to be Vessels for the Lord's friendship and use,  we must Subject ourselves to the "Cleansing Power" of the Word by Meditating therein day and night - *Joshua 1:8*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please help me to subject myself to the "Cleansing Power" of the Word so that my Dominion shall be established in Jesus Christ Name.
