      *THE SIEGE IS OVER*

SCRIPTURE: Then Elisha said: “Hear the Word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria” - *2 Kings 7:1*


*The Good News today is that the siege is over!*


It is evil to be besieged by either seen or unseen  Powers. 


*To be besieged is to be surrounded by an army of enemies and the enemy can either be visible or invisible.*


*In 2 Kings 6:24-33,* Samaria was besieged by the Host of Syria. 


The army did not enter the City, they just surrounded her; yet several evils were happening in Samaria. 


*These evil occurrences include:*


*(1)* Restricted movements.


The Samaritans could not go out and no one could come in unto them, they were imprisoned - *Joshua 6:1*


*(2)* There was a Great Famine.


The City was made to depend only on what they had, no fresh supply. 


Consequently, they ran out of food and other essential Needs and great scarcity was in the land - *2 Kings 6:25*


*(3)* Helplessness 


Because of the restricted movements, no one was allowed to come into the City. 


The Samaritans became an Island to themselves - No help was available to them from outside.


*(4)* Untimely Death. 


Women ate children in Samaria; children and young men were dying before their time.


*(5)* Customised evils.


All the above were happening only in Samaria. 


Outside Samaria, there was free movement, great abundance, help was available from the four corners of the world and men and women were enjoying long life.


At the height of the Pain of the siege, Elisha said: By this time tomorrow, there will be abundance in the gate of Samaria. 


*He was invariably saying the siege is over.*


*As we enter the "Ember" Months of this Year, no more siege in your family in Jesus Name - Amen.*


*God declared Abundance in the Gate of the City and not within the City because the challenges of the City came from the Gate.* 


Trees are not destroyed by cutting the branches but by uprooting it. 


Every trees God has not Planted in your family shall be rooted up in Jesus Name - Amen.


*Prayer:*

Father, I uproot every cause and source of any siege in my family in Jesus Christ Name.
