            *GO FORWARD*

SCRIPTURE: And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward - *Exodus 14:15*


The simple directive God gave to the children of Israel during an extremely challenging time, was to go forward. 


This simple directive is loaded with meanings. 


*What Does It Mean to Go Forward?*


*(1)* Do not stand idle in Challenging Times and watch the wind blow; it will blow away anyone standing idle. 


Rather, we are to determine the direction the wind blows.


On his way to Tarshish, Jonah was fast asleep in the boat, while the wind was blowing. He ended up in the belly of a fish. 


*Standing idle while the wind rages is dangerous because it can blow a Person to where he least expects.* - *Jonah 1:4-17*


*(2)* Do not go backward.


Going backward would have delivered the Isrealites into the hands of their enemies. Going backward would have sent them back into slavery and God has no Pleasure in anyone who turns back from walking in Faith - *Hebrews 10:38*


*(3)* It means to advance.


Advancing in the direction the Lord is leading, is key to being triumphant.


(a) Advance in your walk with God


This means to draw closer or nearer to God - *James 4:8*


(b) Advance in walking in Obedience.


*Denounce a life of Partial Obedience and choose to walk in Total Obedience - *Genesis 12:1-4, Genesis 13:14*


(c) Advance in Faith


Grow on to higher dimensions of Faith - *Romans 1:17*


(d) Advance in Prayer and Fasting.


(e) Advance in Sowing


Grow from sowing sparingly to sowing bountifully - *2 Corinthians 9:6*


*Evidently, going forward is the answer to the turbulence of Challenging Times.*


*By His Grace, tomorrow we will discuss in details, the blessings of going forward.*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please empower me to go forward in Challenging Times in Jesus Christ Name.
