          *NEW BEGINNING*

SCRIPTURE: Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a New Thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert - *Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19*


*New Beginning put simply is: Stepping out of the Old and stepping in into a New Thing.*


In the story of the Paralytic man in *Mark 2:1-12,* he was locked down by sickness, he could not go where he wanted, he could not do what he wanted. His career and relationships were adversely affected.


But, he had an encounter with Christ and he arose and began to walk - A New Beginning. 


He stepped out of sickness into health, out of being a burden into being a celebrity. 


Those who had initially said to him that there was no room,  eventually made room for him.


We see in the story how his New Beginning was Provoked. 


*Let us take a look at some of them:*


*(1)* He drew near to Jesus.


Jesus was in the Temple and the Paralytic man was carried to where Jesus was.


*Every step we take closer to God, will usher us into our New Beginning.*


*God is the only One who can do a New Thing.*


He said behold, I will make all things New. *Revelation 21:5*


*Drawing close to Him will grant us a great turnaround, that will open the door of New Beginnings unto us.*


*(2)* He was carried by four men to Jesus.


*To experience a New Beginning, we need the right attitude that will attract the right People to us.*


The Bible says two are better than one. *Ecclesiastes 4:9*


*Assistance from the right People, will be of great help, in our journey of New Beginning in any area of life.*


*Therefore, we need to develop the right attitude that will attract the right People to us.*


*(3)* When the four men could not enter the Temple through the door because it was full to capacity, they uncovered the roof and let the Paralytic man down through the roof. 


*This was a New Idea, a Shift in Perspective, a New Vision.*


*We need to start something New, for the door of New Beginnings, to be opened unto us.*


*We must be Prepared to do things differently from the way we would ordinary and usually do things.*


*(4)* The four men uncovered the roof without the wood nor the nails falling on anyone in the Temple - That was Wisdom.


*Wisdom is required for our New Beginning.* 


Wisdom is the Principal thing, we need to get Wisdom - *Proverbs 4:7*

 

*The difference between success and failure, lock down and leaping up, is Wisdom.*


*(5)* Jesus saw the Faith of the four men.


*We obviously need Faith for New Beginnings, in any area of life.*


Whatsoever is not of Faith is sin.


*We also overcome the barriers and obstacles of new beginnings through Faith* - *1 John 5:4*


*Living in Obedience to these truths, will assuredly launch us into a New Beginning in any area of our lives, Provided we are ready to Pay the Price.


*Prayer:*

Father, Please give me a New Beginning in my life and family, that Your Glory will be seen in and around me in Jesus Christ Name.
