*THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY GHOST*

SCRIPTURE: Or do you not know that your body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? *- I Corinthians 6:19*


Paul shared with the Church at Corinth one of the secrets of living Holy. 


He said in the text above that Believers do not own their bodies, for they belong to God. Your body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost.


*A Temple is a building that is Primarily devoted for the Purpose of worship.*


*Temples are usually accorded the following treatment:*


*(1)* They are always kept clean. Cleanliness is next to Godliness.


Our bodies as the Lord's Temple, must always be kept clean free of every unpleasant smell.


The Priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water - *Numbers 19:7*


*(2)* Temples are kept Pure and Holy because our God is Holy.


Our bodies must be kept Holy as Temples of God who is Holy. 


Sin will make our bodies uninhabitable for the Holy Spirit because His habitation is Holy *- Romans 12:1,  Psalms 68:5, Psalms 138:2*


*(3)* Praises are offered continually in the Temple.


Our bodies must continually offer Praise to God, to exalt the Presence of the Holy Ghost - *Psalms 22:3*


The Psalmist said all that is within me, bless his Holy name. *Psalms 103:1*


*(4)* Prayers are offered in the Temple.


We must constantly Pray to God, for His house shall be called a house of Prayer - *1 Thessalonian 5:17*


More importantly, we ought to Pray in the Holy Ghost - *Jude 1:20*


*(5)* Sacrifices are offered to God in the Temple - *Genesis 46:1*


Our bodies must be offered unto the Lord as a Living Sacrifice - *Romans 12:1*


A life of Holiness is Practicable at the remembrance of the truth, that our bodies are Temples of the Holy Ghost meant to be clean, Pure and habitable for Him. 


*If the Physical Temples are held sacriledgeously, how much more must His living Temples be habitable.*


*Prayer:* 

Father, Please help me to Prepare my body as Your habitation in Jesus Christ Name.
