*UNDERSTANDING THE HOLY OIL OF GOD*

SCRIPTURE: I have found David my servant; with my Holy Oil have I anointed him: -

*Psalms 89:20*


The rod of Moses became the rod of God doing wondrous things, likewise, man's ordinary oil can become God's Holy oil. 


In our text above, God said I have found David my servant, with my Holy oil have I anointed him.


*When an ordinary oil becomes the Holy oil of God, tremendous Power from God will flow through it.*


Samuel anointed David amongst his brothers, and the Bible says, the Spirit of God came on him from that day forward - *1 Samuel 16:13*


*This tells us that the Holy oil of God attracts the Spirit of God into the life of a man.*


*Therefore, when the enemies shall rise up in their number against the Lord's anointed, the Spirit of God will lift up standard a against them.*


No wonder it was written concerning David the anointed, that the enemy shall not exact upon him nor the son of wickedness afflict him - *Psalms 89 :20*


Because the Holy oil of God attracts the Spirit of God, as the children of Israel moved from Nation to Nation, and from one kingdom to another, God did not permit anyone to do them any wrong. He deprived kings for their sake saying touch not my anointed and do my prophets no harm - *Psalms 105:13-15*


As the Holy oil of God attracts the Spirit of God, the anointed will be established and strengthened - *Psalms 89:21*


Samson was tied by the men of Judah and handed over to the Philistines, but the Spirit of God came Mightily upon him to establish and strengthen him. He slew a thousand men with the jaw bone of an ass.


*If the Holy oil is upon you, nothing can destabilise or weaken you.The Spirit of God will be available to establish and strengthen you.*


Therefore, we should be interested in how to sustain the Power of the Holy oil of God. 


The secret is to love righteousness and hate iniquity - *Hebrews 1:9*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please let the awesome Power of Your Holy oil, be operative in my life today and forever in Jesus Christ Name.
