ARE YOU FACING YOUR RED SEA?
SEED OF TRANSFORMATION DAILY DEVOTIONAL
*ARE YOU FACING YOUR RED SEA?*
*By Pastor E O Gabriel 31 May 2025: Share*
SCRIPTURE: And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord caused the sea to go back by a Strong East wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided - *Exodus 14:21*
The Red Sea was the first great challenge encountered by the children of Israel when they left Egypt.
*What does the Red Sea connote today?*
*(1)* Life threatening challenges.
When the children of Israel faced their Red Sea, they were talking of death because their lives were threatened.
*Every challenge threatening your life and that of your family is your Red Sea, God will help you cross it - Amen.*
*(2)* Destiny truncating challenges.
With the Red Sea, the children of Israel could not see how the Plan and the Purpose of God to take them to the Promised Land, could be achieved.
They saw the Red Sea as an end to their journey, but God made it a bridge for them.
*(3)* Enemy surrounding challenges.
With the Red Sea, the children of Israel were encircled by the Pursuing Egyptian Army. They had no way of escape, but God made a way where there was no way.
*(4)* Helpless challenges.
No help was in sight for the children of Israel.
Whenever we face a challenge where there is no help in sight, we have come face to face with a Red Sea.
*(5)* Dream killing challenges.
The dream of entering the Promised Land, seemed unrealisable.
Whenever we face a challenge that makes us to forget our dreams, that challenge is a Red Sea.
When Joseph moved from the Pit to Potiphar's house, to the Prison, he never spoke of his dreams again - *Genesis 37-39*
*There is a way of Victory over the Red Sea.*
*In our Anchor Text above, the Red Sea opened for the children of Israel and our own Red Sea has an answer.*
When the children of Isreal saw the Red Sea, God told them to go forward - *Exodus 14:15*
*Never move away from your Red Sea - Whatever you don't confront, you don't conquer.*
*Even in the dictionary confront comes before conquer.*
Thereafter, God told
Moses to lift up his
rod - *Exodus 14:16*
*For our Red Sea to finally Part for us to cross over, we must lift up the following:*
(1) The rod of Prayer - Luke 18:1
(2) The rod of Faith - 1 John 5:4
(3) The rod of Holy Living.
(4) The rod of Confession - *Romans 10:10*
(5) The rod of Gratitude - *Luke 17:11-17*
*Challenges may be Lasting but not Everlasting. When our rod is lifted, our Red Sea will open for us to go our Way.*
*Prayer:*
Father, Please empower me to lift up my rod until my Red Sea open for me to Pass through in Jesus Christ Name.
