DO NOT GO TO BETHSAIDA
SEED OF TRANSFORMATION DAILY DEVOTIONAL
*DO NOT GO TO BETHSAIDA*
*By Pastor E O Gabriel 24 May 2025: Share*
SCRIPTURE: And he sent him away to his house, saying, Neither go into the town, nor tell it to any in the town - *Mark 8:26*
When Jesus went to Bethsaida, they brought to Him a blind man and asked Jesus to touch him.
Jesus held the man by the hand and led him out of the town and touched him twice and the man saw clearly.
*Thereafter, as in our Text, He charged the man whose sight was restored to neither go into the town nor tell anyone in the town.*
*This charge was necessary because of what Bethsaida stands for.*
According to the Scriptures, Bethsaida had witnessed the Mighty Works of God but remained unrepentant - *Matthew 11:21*
*Men who were minorities were Picked from this town and were made great by the Grace of God* - *John 1:44*
The town experienced the great supply from Heaven - Five thousand men were fed with five loaves of bread and two fish. There were leftovers that filled twelve baskets - *Luke 9:10-17*
*Despite the great move of God in Bethsaida, they never repented from their sins.*
The Bible says shall we continue in sin and expect Grace to abound? God forbid - *Romans 6:1-2*
*When Jesus charged the blind man not to go to Bethsaida, He was actually saying don't be ungrateful for the restoration received by continuing in your sin.*
*It is a height of Ingratitude to experience the Mighty Works of God and yet continue in our sin.*
*The best way to show our Gratitude for bringing us into a New Day despite all evil occurrences around us, is to stay away from all forms of wickedness and sins and to walk with God with a Pure heart.*
*Prayer:*
Father, Please help me to be Grateful for Your daily blessings in my life and family by Living to Please You in Jesus Christ Name.
