*EARLY STARTERS, LATE FINISHERS*

SCRIPTURE: Then the hand of the Lord came upon Elijah; and he girded up his loins and ran ahead of Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel - *1 Kings 18:46*


*There are different classes of People in the world which includes those who start early but finish late.*


Ahab the king of Israel, began a journey to Jezreel on his chariot and he left well ahead of Elijah. But, in spite of the great distance Ahab had covered ahead of Elijah, Elijah who ran on foot by the Holy Spirit, got to his destination before Ahab. 


*Ahab is an example of an early starter but a late finisher.*


*A vital lesson here is we needn't be intimidated by those who started before us.*


The Bible says the first shall be the last and the last shall be the first - *Mark. 10:31*


*Those who have gone ahead of you may have gone to Prepare the ground for you.*


Peninnah had sons and daughters when Hannah was still barren. But, when Hannah began, the Earth shook because she birthed one of the Greatest Prophets that ever lived in Israel. 


When Hannah began, no one remembered the name of any of Peninnah's children.


Apostle Paul was a late starter. He said I am the least of the Apostles but not even fit to be called an Apostle. 


But, he achieved what those who had gone agead of him never achieved. 


God Performed notable Miracles through the Apostles but wrought  Special Miracles through the hands of Paul - *Acts 4:16; Acts 19:11*


*Are you far behind your colleagues in marriage , career or academics?*


*Be not dismayed, the race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong.* 


Be diligent in whatever God has sent you, wherever He sends you and Joyfully wait for your own Appointed time. 


God makes everything beautiful in his time - *Ecclesiastes 3:11*


*Prayer:*

Father, Please engrace me to finish well. Let my latter end be greater than my former in Jesus Christ mighty name.
