    *EXCHANGE OF RINGS*

But we are not of those who draw back to Perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the Soul - *Hebrews 10:39*


*It is customary for the bridegroom and the bride to exchange rings after they have taken the oath of Marriage.* 


*Many erroneously believe that the whole essence of the ring, is to tell the world that they are married.*


*The essence is much deeper than that.*  


*Let us do a little study about the purpose of the ring, Particularly to the Married:*


Two major things are symbolic of a ring.


*First, the rings Pass through a Process which includes being Put in fire, for it to be bendable and refined to shape and a beautiful ring.*


*This is instructive to the Married - They would need to make some Selfless adjustments, which may not be Pleasant, for their Marriage to work.*


The Bible says, therefore shall a Man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh - *Genesis 2:24*


*The journey to becoming one, will be impossible, unless each spouse makes room for necessary adjustments.*


*Second, rings are circular in shape and circles have no end.*


*This stands to tell the Married couple, that they have entered into a Covenant of an Unending Commitment to their spouse.*


God expects Marital Relationship to be a life long one, till death separates. 


Therefore, the Bible says God hates Putting away - *Malachi 2:16*


He also said no man having put his hand to the Plough and looking back is fit for the  Kingdom of God - *Luke 9:62*


The Bible says in our Anchor Text above, we are not of them that draw back into Perdition.


*The ring is essentially telling the couple, that has the Holy Solemnisation has been witnessed, it should not turn to a dissolution.*


*Prayer:* 

Father, Please help me to make whatever adjustments I need to make, for a Life long Marital Relationship in Jesus Christ Name.
