*GIVE GLORY DUE TO HIS NAME*

SCRIPTURE: Then immediately an Angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give Glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died. *~ Acts 12:23*


*We are commanded to give God ALL the Glory due His name.*


He is the God of Glory, the Father of Glory and the King of Glory. *Philippians 4:20; Ephesians 1:17; Psalms 24:7-10*


God Himself said His Glory He will not give another - *Isaiah 48:11*


He gives His blessings but not His Glory.


To this end, God will not tolerate anything or anyone trying to share in His Glory. 


*King Nebuchadnezzar incurred the wrath of God, when He ascribed to himself the Glory due to God.*


He said 'look at this great Babylon that my hand have built.'


*He forgot that without God we can do nothing.*


Because Glory is important to God and He will not give it to another, God sent him to the field to eat grass as an animal - *Daniel 4:33*


King Herod gave a speech which was so beautiful that People said to his hearing that this is the voice of a god and not man. 


Herod delighted himself in the People's Praises, without returning the Glory to God. 


Acknowledging ourselves as the source of any Good Gift, will put us in confrontation with God. 


King Herod was smitten by the Angel of God and eaten alive by worms because he did not Glory to God.


It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living  God - *Hebrews 10:31*


*To avert Nebuchadnezzar and Herod's kind of experiences, we must acknowledge that Glory is important to God and give it all to Him while we receive His blessings with gladness of heart and thanksgiving.*


*Prayer:* 

Father, Please deliver me from the temptation of ascribing Your Glory to myself in Jesus Christ Name.
